Capacity to Facilitate LED
The existing LED capacity of one LED Manager reporting directly to
the Municipal Manager is proportional to the staffing compliment of
the municipality. The existing LED manager has excellent support from
the municipal leadership and together there is enough capacity to
facilitate LED in this very small economy.
The only technical support required to facilitate the LED process
is the addition of experienced LED facilitators, once a year
to evaluate progress, facilitate reflection and learning, and
review strategic priority initiatives.
The contracted technical support is also required for implementation of the
following LED initiatives:
- Systematically identify and utilise the opportunities from Mine
- Unblock the Land Constraint
- Remove blockages to Investment in Housing
- Establish Commercial Farming level Support for Emerging Farmers
