About The Municipality
The Fetakgomo Local Municipality is located within the Sekhukhune District Municipality in Limpopo, which is considered to be the most economically depressed district within the provincial context.
The municipality is totally rural, with a population of approximately 105 196 people who reside in 87 settlements, of which the majority are small, i.e. less than 1000 people inhabitants.
The municipal area covers 1123 kmē, which represents 8.4% of the Sekhukhune District's total land area. The municipality is divided into 13 wards.
